Melee Games Launches Inco-Powered Two-Thirds Game on Monad Testnet

We’re excited to announce that Melee Games is launching a series of Inco-powered games on the Monad testnet, beginning with the Two-Thirds Game. The game will be open to enter between Thursday April 17 at 9AM EST and Monday April 21 at 9AM EST.

In the Two-Thirds Game, each player submits a whole number between 0 and 100. The goal is to select the number closest to two-thirds of the average submission of all players. Each player bets 0.5 MON testnet tokens with their submission. At the end of the game, when the score is tallied, the 10% of closest players receive their split of the pot and a special Monad-Inco themed NFT!

How It Works

The game involves players picking a number between 0 and 100. If a player’s guess matches two-thirds of the average guess of all players, they win the pot. This game is a fun way to compete for prizes, and utilizes both Monad’s hyper-fast blockchain and Inco’s confidentiality layer to make gameplay seamless for all players. Players can enter for a minimum 0.5 MON testnet token buy in.

Scoring

Below is an example game and outcome.

To determine the winner, first we find the average of all the player's guesses.

(20+40+60+80+100)/5=60

Then we take ⅔ of the average to find the solution.

60∗(2/3)=40

The solution is 40 and Bob wins the game.

Prizes and Winners

To give more players a chance to win, the pot will be split between the top 10% of closest guesses. This means winning players will 10x their initial bet. In addition, winners will also receive special Monad and Inco themed NFTs.
